Micro-interactions are subtle, thoughtful design elements that enhance the user experience by providing feedback, guiding tasks, and adding a layer of delight. At Hanabi Studio, we integrated micro-interactions to make the website not only functional but also enjoyable and engaging.

Hover effect

  • Wobble Effect on Layout:

This interaction reinforces the brand philosophy that imperfection is not a flaw but a unique feature to be celebrated. The playful tilt adds a whimsical touch to the browsing experience.
The entire layout has a wobble feeling, with each frame slightly tilted, embodying the brand’s idea of embracing imperfection and playfulness.

  • Interactive Cat Dialog on Hover:

When users hover over an item, a dialog pops up.

This interaction adds a personalized, relatable element to the browsing experience. It makes the site feel more interactive and engaging, creating a connection between the user and the product.

Wobble Layout

  • Heart/Favorite Interaction:

When users hover over and click the favorite heart icon, it shakes and changes to an orange heart in the brand’s color.

This playful interaction provides immediate feedback, making the action of favoriting an item more engaging and fun. The shaking motion draws attention and the color change confirms the action.

Overview:

Hanabi Studio is a ceramics brand that creates handcrafted cups featuring cat illustrations. The goal of this project was to design a unique and engaging website that not only showcases the products but also tells the story of the brand and its social mission. The website aims to attract cat lovers and those who appreciate unique, handcrafted items while donating 20% of the proceeds to local cat shelters.
